Allison Holker Says Her Family Is Finding Connection Through Dance After Death of Husband Stephen 'tWitch' Boss

On Tuesday, the professional dancer, 36, appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and opened up about returning to the studio where her late husband Stephen 'tWitch' Boss spent so much time on the Ellen Degeneres show.
“This place is like home. So walking in here, I have all these memories of my daughter," Holker began. "My oldest, she’s 15, she used to come here every day after school and do her homework here, everyone would feed her dinner, and it was so wonderful."
"She got to have a very different experience than both kids, right? But it’s such a wonderful place that I really hold dear to my heart. So, it’s a lot to be here but a beautiful feeling.”

Later in her conversation with host Jennifer Hudson, Holker shared that her family of four is finding connection through dance.
"Oh man, dancing with my children. It has been so much fun. They’re so adorable. Yesterday we were playing Just Dance. But it’s fun to have dance as a way for us to connect and express all of these emotions together," the proud mom shared.
"We were watching Trolls the other day together on the TV and we just got up and started dancing together. And they were bouncing off the couches, jumping off the coffee table. And it was just like, so much freedom and I could just feel that they still have so much lightness to them. And I was really grateful to see that.”
Holker shares her three kids — daughters Weslie, 15, and Zaia, 3, as well as son Maddox, 7 — with late husband Boss, who died by suicide in December 2022 at age 40.
In December, Weslie honored her late father on the one year anniversary of his death by sharing a post on her Instagram.
"A year of missing you, but not a single day goes by without thinking of what you’ve given to the world. Your love, guidance, and wisdom continue to inspire me. Missing warm hugs, your wisdom, and the sound of your voice," she wrote.
"Though the pain of your absence remains, I find serenity in the beautiful memories we shared. You were my father, my superhero, and my best friend, and my biggest advocate. Your love and support shaped me into the person I am today," the teenager continued.
"I carry you in my heart, and I hope to make you proud. Thank you for the precious life we had together and for the unconditional love you gave me. Forever cherishing your name. 12/13/22."
