Angelina Jolie suffered a major beauty mishap during the red carpet at the premiere of her latest film, "Eternals" on Sunday evening in Rome.
The 46-year-old attended the premiere alongside her two daughters, Zahara, 16, and Shiloh, 15, wearing a striking metal-mesh gown by Atelier Versace. While the mother-daughter trio looked stunning, many took to social media to criticize the actress's hair.
"Her extensions literally look like a child clipped them in for her," one person wrote to Instagram. "I'm genuinely concerned as to why everyone in her entourage OK'd this and let her walk the red carpet? How many did she pass by on her way to the premiere who chose to stay silent? I'm mad for her!"
While many people opt to wear hair extensions to add length or volume to their hair, the goal is to blend your hair with the extensions to make them look as natural as possible. Jolie's noticeable hair extensions went viral, with fans clamouring for the chance to call out whoever was in charge of the Oscar winner's hair.
"I don’t know who does her hair but she should fire him," another tweeted, while someone else added, "Who put the extensions to my queen Angelina Jolie? They need to be fired."
"They put three 18” synthetic clip-ins on the back of her neck and called it a day," another wrote.
"Now, I’m no hairdresser but whoever did Angelina Jolie’s hair extensions did it wrong and/or drunk," someone else commented.
If I ever doubt my self at work in the future. I'll remind myself, atleast I didn't send Angelina Jolie down the red carpet with hair like this... pic.twitter.com/MxG62UWXEQ

"She didn’t need those extensions, to be honest," another Twitter user chimed in, while another added, "I love Angie but whoever did her hair extensions for tonight’s Rome film festival needs chopping."
Unfortunately, this isn't the first style malfunction A-list star has experienced on the red carpet. Back in 2014, Jolie walked the red carpet alongside her now ex-husband, Brad Pitt, at "The Normal Heart" premiere in New York City, translucent powder build-up on her face that had not been properly blended.
The incident was a reminder to Jolie and other Hollywood elite that the uncontrolled lighting of the red red carpet can pick up translucent setting powder that can appear invisible to the naked eye.
