Angelina Jolie Repurposed Her Metallic Gown In The Most Dramatic Way
When you find a look that works, it’s easy to stick with it. That, at least, seems to be the case for Angelina Jolie, who repurposed a dreamy metallic gown for the premiere of her film Maria at the 2024 American Film Institute Festival over the weekend. And though it was the third time this month we saw the actor slip into the slinky dress, she delivered one of her best renditions of the look yet.
The actor, a seasoned outfit repeater, stepped out onto the red carpet in the silvery-gold gown. The elegant silhouette featured a high, rounded neckline, as well as a slightly curved waist that subtly outlined her figure. A pair of silver pointed pumps stuck out from the gown’s silky skirt, continuing its metallic theme.

While Jolie previously styled the dress with a grey blazer, and then underneath a fluffy black robe, her latest take was the most glamourous. Here, she left the glossy gown uncovered for the most part, allowing its details to fully shine. A charcoal shawl was draped across her shoulders and covered her arms with billowing sleeves, still adding an element of comfort to her premiere style. The actor accessorised with a chunky gold bracelet and matching gold drop earrings.
It was truly her glam, however, that brought the most drama to her ensemble. Jolie wore her highlighted hair in teased curls, creating a voluminous ‘do that infused her look with the same heightened theatrics as her latest film. A bold red lipstick elevated her daring makeup even more, and she flaunted a vibrant red manicure to match.
