Arby's Is Bringing Back a Fan-Favorite Side

But it would make a great meal, too.

If you go to a fast-food restaurant but don’t order fries, are you doing it right? Fries are the perfect sides for sandwiches such as McDonald’s Big Macs, Burger King Whoppers, Popeyes Chicken Sandwich, and Arby’s Roast Beef with Cheddar. They’re also one of the best sides we know to pair with a shake.

Last year, Arby’s found a way to turn its fries into something that might as well be an entire meal, loading them with two types of meat, cheese, and everyone’s favorite condiment—ranch. The tasty fries disappeared from the menu, but they’re back, and they sound pretty good.

Arby’s Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries Are Back

For a limited time, Arby’s has Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries back on the menu. The restaurant’s website describes them as “crinkle cut potatoes fried crispy then topped with chopped crispy chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese sauce and drizzled peppercorn ranch.”

The first time these fries appeared on Arby’s menu, the Youtube channel theendorsement bought the menu item, tried it at home, and shared his thoughts with his followers.

His conclusion? He was not bored with the flavor and said there was plenty of chicken and bacon, but there could have been more cheese sauce and ranch sauce, suggesting they put a layer of both sauces over and under the fries, chicken, and bacon. (Who can argue with that?)

He added that he would enjoy it more with Arby’s curly fries, which, in our taste test of 12 different fast-food fries, landed in third place, six places above the Arby’s crinkle-cut fries used in the Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries.

Last May, he paid $4.59 for the loaded fries, and prices probably vary by location. The increasing prices of fast food make it difficult to eat on a budget—something fast food has traditionally been known for—and around $5 for meat and fries is not a bad deal.

Perhaps, if customers ask nicely, Arby’s will use the curly fries to pile with chicken, bacon, cheese, and ranch—which many of the YouTube commenters said they would also prefer.
