Ashley Iaconetti is receiving praise on social media for being "so transparent" about struggling to enjoy her pregnancy.

On Tuesday, the "Bachelor" alum took to Instagram to share a makeup-free selfie with a lengthy caption admitting that her pregnancy has delivered some unexpected challenges, including acne.

"My pregnancy hasn’t been easy... But at least I'm glowing," she wrote sarcastically to her more than 1.2 million followers. "I’m joking and don’t say otherwise because it will annoy me."

The 33-year-old explained that since she had to stop taking prescription medication for her skin, she had already anticipated having some breakouts. However, she admitted that she underestimated just how severe her acne would be.

"This is when hormones attack!" Iaconetti wrote. "Man, I didn’t realize just how hard prescription retinoid worked, too."

Iaconetti continued by telling fans that her skin isn't the only bone she has to pick with her pregnancy, adding that her morning sickness hasn't exactly been limited to just mornings.

"When you’re throwing up multiple times a day, pimples don’t phase you," she wrote.

The soon-to-be-mom confessed that she's been experiencing a lack of motivation, which puts her skincare routine low on her list of priorities.

"My normally strict skincare routine doesn’t interest me either. I’ve been apathetic about a lot lately, which is out of character," she told fans. "Hopefully, I’ll get some passion and drive back soon."

Iaconetti concluded by explaining to followers that she hasn't been forthcoming with pregnancy updates because the experience hasn't been enjoyable. The "Almost Famous" podcast host said she worried that being honest about not enjoying her pregnancy would garner a negative reaction from followers, who would tell her to "put some makeup on and smile" or tell her to "be grateful."

The 'Bachelor' star's post was met with support from fans who appreciated her "unfiltered" honesty and found it "relatable."

"Thank you for being so real and relatable! I hated being pregnant. Every time sucked! But the outcome was worth it so I did it again and again and again and then called it quits! I hated every moment. I tell everyone that," one fan commented. "I just was not a happy pregnant person like others are. So thank you for showing your platform that it’s not all rainbows and sunshine."

"I hated being pregnant, and I was vocal about it because it should be normalized. Women shouldn't feel guilty for not enjoying the process," another added. "Not enjoying pregnancy does not equate to being ungrateful for pregnancy."

Iaconetti and her 'Bachelor' alum husband, Jared Haibon, tied the knot in August 2019 and announced their first pregnancy last month. The couple also revealed to fans that they had been struggling to conceive.

“We are very excited for that day to come!" she captioned the announcement. "It’s so cool to think I’m creating a human that’s half me and half Jared! I won’t lie though, pregnancy has not been a delight for me."
