Ashley Park's Sequinned 'No Trousers' Look Is Peak Mindy Chen
Don’t threaten Ashley Park with a good time! The actor took a style cue from her fearless Emily in Paris character Mindy Chen on Wednesday, when she stepped out in Midtown Manhattan wearing a sequinned micro set, sky-high heels, and no trousers.
The look consisted of a dark grey sequin-covered top that was attached to matching hot-pants. Park contrasted the shimmery Brunello Cucinelli co-ord (which at first sight looked more like a bodysuit) with a black, sharply tailored blazer from the brand – putting a businesswoman spin on the party-girl 'fit.

Styled by Brad Goreski, Park eschewed trousers and tights, instead further elongating her bare legs with strappy black stilettos. She kept the monochrome scheme going with a black leather mini handbag from Cucinelli’s autumn/winter 2024 collection, and accessorised with a mix of silver hoops and several fun studs, a dainty diamond necklace, and various rings. Her hair was up in a wavy ponytail, and she wore a sparkly silver eye shadow to match the glitter of her sequins.
In the hit Netflix series, Park plays Emily’s best friend and roommate, Mindy Chen, a singer who is estranged from her wealthy family and hustling her way into a career in the City of Lights. In the latest season, Park lands a singing gig at a topless club, while tackling criticism from her French boyfriend’s elitist family over her maximalist, ultra-sexy wardrobe.
Mindy, of course, comes out on top in that argument – and if Park’s latest party ensemble is any indication, the actor, like her character, will wear whatever she wants, whenever she wants to. We love to see it.
