Atelier VM’s 2025 Jewelry Drops Are Heirlooms in the Making

In keeping with their slow and storytelling-driven approach, Atelier VM’s cofounders Marta Caffarelli and Viola Naj-Oleari unveiled the 2025 drops for the Italian jewelry brands centered on subtle updates to signature pieces, as well as meaningful additions to their offering.

Many of the novelties are hinged on the use of platinum, a new material for Atelier VM, which marked its 25th anniversary last year and continues to court its niche of customers looking for understated, high-quality jewels.

The precious and durable metal appears in Virtuosa, a vintage-nodding, heirloom-like ring made of a flexible chain embellished with a centerpiece, lab-grown diamond.

It is also employed for a new rendition of the signature L’Essenziale chain bracelet, laser-welded on the customer’s wrist to become a permanent accessory. It’s a celebratory iteration of sorts, 10 years after the item was first introduced in 2014. Homing in on the signature piece and the use of precious materials, Atelier VM is also adding Carezza, or caress in English, a little diamond or ruby charm mounted on an 18-karat gold setting to be added to L’Essenziale.

Elsewhere, the Tota Pulchra 9-karat gold bangle, first introduced in 2019, is getting a subtle makeover. Revisited with a chain closure that ensures extra comfort of use, it is offered in a customizable version as clients can have their words of choice engraved on the bracelet.

Entirely new to the jeweler’s range is Memorie, or memories in English, a pagoda-shaped charm available in 9-karat gold and silver that is intended as a time capsule. Clients can insert a tiny object — be it their kid’s milk tooth, written slip of paper or folded passport photo — before seeing the two halves of the charm welded together. It comes with a subtle chain.
