Avril Lavigne rocks 'classic pop-punk princess vibe' in Paris ahead of Europe tour
The Canadian songstress, 38, looked stunning in a punk-style Vetements shirt while in Paris.
Avril Lavigne is staying true to her pop-punk roots.
On Wednesday, the 38-year-old Canadian songstress shared a carousel of photos of herself from Paris with her more than 12 million Instagram followers. In the post, the "Girlfriend" singer also included snaps of herself walking with Vetements creative director Guram Gvasalia, meeting Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto and performing with Yung Blud.
In the first three photos, Lavigne posed in a white buttoned Vetements Double Anarchy Shirt. She paired the look with a black and white pleated plaid skirt as well as black leather and metallic platform booties.
In the second half of the photo dump, Lavigne opted for oversized, all-black ensembles and matching black lipstick.
"Two weeks 'til the Europe tour. LFG! What songs do you guys want to hear live?" Lavigne captioned her post, including a tour poster showing off numerous sold out concert dates within Europe.
In the comments, fans swooned over Lavigne's "stunning" looks.
"Girl, you look so good lately. Like, you're truly in your stylish era but still maintaining your classic pop-punk princess vibe we all know and love," an Instagram user commented.
Another added: "It's the plaid skirt and platforms for me."
"Beautiful," someone else wrote.
"Love your outfit, girl," a fan penned.
At the start of March, following her split from her ex-fiancé Mod Sun, Lavigne debuted her "new era" in a set of sultry photos that were also taken in Paris.
In the snaps, the "Love Sux" artist posed on a bed in black leather thigh-high stiletto boots. She paired the look with a black oversized Vetements graphic T-shirt that read, "I'm not doing s— today."
Lavigne paired the same look with an oversized blazer, teased hair and added dramatic winged eyeliner while she attended a show at Paris Fashion Week.
"I'm not doing s— today," she reiterated in her post's caption.
"This screams 'new era' to me, OMG," a fan commented on the post, while another added, "OK, she's stepping into a new era. Instant post-breakup glow-up. So gorgeous!"
In February, Mod Sun, 35, opened up in an emotional Instagram message about his and Lavigne's breakup after dating for nearly two years.
"In one week, my entire life completely changed. I just know there's a plan for it all. I'll keep my head up and always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken," the rapper wrote.
Lavigne's representatives confirmed she called off her engagement to Page Six, but the news allegedly came as a shock to Mod Sun.
"They were together and engaged as of three days ago when Mod left for tour, so if anything has changed, that's news to him," his representative told People at the time.
