Ayesha Curry, 32, took a break from running her food empire to serve some looks on a beach in Cabo, where she and her husband, NBA superstar Stephen Curry, vacationed over the holiday weekend. She showed off her killer abs in an on-trend snake-print bikini and enjoyed plenty of lettuce tacos.
"That concludes Cabo R and R! Until next time… 🌊" she captioned the series.
The celebrity chef, cookbook author, restaurant owner, and meal-kit and cookware entrepreneur has long been vocal about food's role in her wellness journey.
"These past two years, since I turned 30, I've started to consider how food can really make a difference in the way that I feel and look," she told Women's Health last August. "My career is in food and I'm a firm believer in eating what you love. I'm not a dieter. For me, it was really about learning how to exercise portion control and living that 80/20 life."
For breakfast, Ayesha fuels up with a glass of hot lemon water, along with coffee infused with ghee and MCT oil (a riff on Bulletproof coffee), and a late-morning avocado. After working out, she said, "I'll have some sort of salad with protein. I've been loving shaved Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and kale with salmon." Instead of pre-mixed dressing, she makes her own with maple syrup, olive oil, lemon, and Dijon mustard in a mason jar.
Since she cooks for her entire family, she likes to keep dinner simple by roasting lots of veggies like Brussel sprouts, asparagus, and broccoli. "Dinnertime creeps up so fast, so I often turn to the sheet pan dinner," she says. "I just throw everything on the sheet pan and pop it in a high-temp oven." Stir-fries are also super-popular in her house.
Last spring, Ayesha made headlines after losing 35 pounds. "I spent my entire 20s having babies, nursing babies,” she said in an Instagram post. “Now it’s my turn to nurse myself. I’m Jamaican, I’m strong, I’m fast and I’m resilient. Negativity only makes a mom go harder, word to the wise." Though she always opts for whole foods, she does have a "treat day" every week.
"I always have a day a week where I'm in the kitchen and just preparing something new and fun and indulgent," she said. "It really works for me; I always have that day to look forward to. It's the best day ever every single week."
