One of the most highly anticipated events in the British social calendar – not to mention, awards season as a whole – the 2025 BAFTAs are taking place tonight in London's Royal Festival Hall, and some of the biggest stars in the world have descended on the South Bank for the occasion.
Naturally here at ELLE HQ, we've been keeping tabs on the red carpet as celebrities emerge in their dazzling designer looks, and have spent the past few hours feasting our eyes on all the fabulous fashion on display. From monochrome gowns that stunned in their simplicity, and rare vintage treasures unearthed from the high-fashion archives, to intricately embellished dresses that brought some glittering glamour to the event, we were treated to all manner of striking styles. But, of course, not all red carpet dresses were created equal...

So, after much heated debate, we bring you ELLE UK's definitive list of the 10 best dressed celebrities at the 2025 BAFTAs. Needless to say, all of the stars brought their fashion A-game – but some looks were simply a cut above the rest. From Selena Gomez in custom Schiaparelli and Ariana Grande in Louis Vuitton to Saoirse Ronan flying the flag for understated chic, these were our favourite fashion moments from the night.

BAFTAs 2025 Best Dressed: Selena Gomez
Gomez turned to Daniel Roseberry at Schiaparelli to craft a standout custom-made gown for the BAFTAs – and the designer certainly didn't disappoint. With its intricate embroidery, sumptuous black leather, plunging neckline and body-hugging silhouette, the resulting dress feels elegant and sultry at the same time.
BAFTAs 2025 Best Dressed: Ariana Grande
The Wicked star has perfected the art of channeling her on-screen counterpart on the red carpet, and has worn countless powder pink Glinda-worthy ensembles over the past few months. This Louis Vuitton gown feels like a continuation of this theme and also a welcome departure, the black plunging top beautifully contrasting the statement taffeta skirt at the bottom.
BAFTAs 2025 Best Dressed: Saoirse Ronan
Ronan is proof that sometimes, simple is best. The actor wore a Louis Vuitton dress and silk shawl in a light-green shade that perfectly matched her eyes, and added a flash of drama with a bold red lip. The epitome of chic.
BAFTAs 2025 Best Dressed: Hannah Dodd
The Bridgerton star gets major points for choosing homegrown talent Simone Rocha to design her BAFTAs gown, that features an open back, oversize bow neck tie, and a fabulous floral chainmail skirt overlay.
BAFTAs 2025 Best Dressed: Cynthia Erivo
Like her Wicked co-star Ariana Grande, Erivo also wore Louis Vuitton for the BAFTAS – but chose a design that felt as avant-garde as her. As ever, her nails and ear stacks were works of art in their own right, adding the perfect, personalised cherry on top.

Cabello bucked the trend for understated elegance on the red carpet and opted for some much-needed, full-blown glitz and glamour instead. The singer's dress was designed by Sabina Bilenko Couture, and beautifully combines silk corsetry with crystals carefully embroidered onto sheer mesh.

You really can't go wrong with Prada on the red carpet, and Madison's cream-coloured ensemble was nothing short of a triumph. The column gown, silk shawl and diamond necklace combination oozes Old Hollywood glamour, while her inky locks and kohl-lined eyes added a bit of edge.

From her Twenties-inspired glam to her Chanel flapper-esque dress, Nico Parker exuded red carpet elegance from head to toe – and she might just be our newest style crush du jour.

Pammie was every bit the screen siren on the BAFTAs red carpet, making an entrance in a white, figure-hugging, off-the-shoulder Jacquemus gown, complete with a dramatic train, matching heels, diamond necklace and her now-signature make-up-free face. It's giving modern-day Marilyn Monroe.

And last but certainly not least, Demi Moore continues to rule the red carpet this awards season, this time courtesy of an intricately embroidered halterneck McQueen gown.
