Bellingham coffee shop teams up with Grammy-nominated band for meet and greet, new roast
Bellingham’s craft coffee scene is getting a bit more exciting this weekend, as a member of a Grammy-nominated band will be stopping in for a sweet collaboration.
Downtown Bellingham coffee roaster and cafe Camber Coffee has created a new special coffee roast in collaboration with Death Cab for Cutie, a Grammy-nominated band with local roots.
Camber Coffee will celebrate the collaboration Friday, Jan. 10 and Saturday, Jan. 11 with a signature drink, 12-ounce bags of the new Ellis Street Blend. Saturday’s celebration also will include a meet-and-greet with the band’s drummer, Jason McGerr, from 10 a.m. to noon.
The Ellis Street Blend “is a juicy and sweet blend of coffees from Ethiopia and Guatemala with lush notes of fresh fruit and sweet maple,” according to a Camber Coffee social media post.
Guests can also enjoy a special signature drink both days of the celebration called the Movie Script Ending, which features the Ellis Street Blend in a latte with milk, brown sugar, rosemary and citrus flavors.
Death Cab for Cutie collaborated with Camber Coffee to create another coffee roast back in 2022 to celebrate a new album.
Camber Coffee is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily at 221 West Holly St. in downtown Bellingham.
