Ryan Reynolds isn’t about to let his and Blake Lively’s 8-year-old daughter, James, cross the SAG-AFTRA strike picket line — not even on Halloween.

After the union advised its members to “celebrate Halloween this year while also staying in solidarity” with SAG-AFTRA amid the ongoing strike by “[dressing] up as characters from non-struck content, like an animated TV show,” according to Variety, Ryan was sure to let the world know that he fully understood the assignment.

“I look forward to screaming 'scab' at my 8 year old all night,” Reynolds tweeted shortly after the news broke. “She's not in the union but she needs to learn.”

While not explicitly stated, it’s assumed that Reynolds’s guideline will also apply to his and Lively’s other children, Inez, Betty, and their fourth child whose name and sex have yet to be revealed.

Although the actor was quick to poke fun at the union’s statement, his tweet comes just months after he and Blake donated a notable $1 million to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation in August to help provide emergency financial assistance to performers on strike.

Reynold’s comments also come just days after it was revealed that his upcoming Marvel film, Deadpool 3, will reportedly be delayed due to the strike, as it was only halfway finished when production was first halted in July.

“I wish I knew. I don't even know if we officially have [a release date],” the film’s director, Shawn Levy, recently told The Wrap. “I know we were gonna be May 3. Certainly, the actors' strike and the long pause in production have put that release date in true risk. We've shot half the movie. I've edited half the movie. We're dying to get back to work and get this movie out next year.”
