Blake Lively's Daughter Loves Really Impractical Shoes
Imagine having Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds as parents. Then imagine Blake Lively denying you the right to wear your favorite shoes. For 2-year-old James Reynolds, the hard truth is that the 28-year-old actress apparently has a disciplinarian streak.
“We were arguing over what shoes she gets to wear today,” Lively told E News at the Michael Kors show on Wednesday. “She wanted to wear jellies, like strappy jellies. And I was like, ‘It’s 20 degrees outside. You can’t wear jellies.’ But she loves them.” Whether as a parent or a child, most of us, let’s be honest, have been there.
Lively makes her daughters’s fashion choices herself. “They don’t have people dressing [them]. I dress them,” she said. “I am their personal stylist. They are also their personal stylists.”
However, James may be taking fashion advice from North West, who we all know would never let someone else choose her outfits. Kim Kardashian tweeted about North’s fashion habits last year: “She designed her own dress today in her dad’s office & is picking out fabrics tomorrow! She loves fashion!!!” Two words: child prodigy.

North is also apparently helping out with Kim and Kanye West’s upcoming children’s fashion line. According to a recent Snapchat from Kim, “Northie picked out the color and the fabric.”
Another celebrity child style icon: Blue Ivy Carter, whose parents cemented their 5-year-old in the fashion hall of fame this week. Blue sat front row at the Grammys in a hot pink Gucci suit that not only honored Prince with its ruffled blouse, but made a political statement with a black panther design on the back. It might just have been the strongest outfit choice in the audience, from the youngest member there. Not to mention, Blue’s (aka Beyoncé’s) outfit choices regularly sell out — even when they cost thousands of dollars.
