Boise has only one food truck park. Now it plans to move — to a ‘beautiful’ place

Boise’s lone food truck park will get bigger and better this spring.

After four years operating seasonally at 14th Street and Shoreline Drive, Green Acres Food Truck Park plans to move.

“Really, really, really excited” to share the news, Green Acres recently announced that its new address will be 767 S. Pioneer Shore — a brief stroll down the Boise Greenbelt from its original location.

“It’s that beautiful grassy oasis right off the Greenbelt next to the footbridge by the raft pullout,” Green Acres explained. “We’re right behind our new BFF neighbors @payettebrewing. This new location is literally just a 3-minute walk east on the Greenbelt from our old location.”

Setting up next to Payette Brewing Co. feels like a win-win. It might even drive crossover business at the local brewery’s taproom and beer garden.

Green Acres Food Truck Park has operated right off the Boise Greenbelt since 2021.

Green Acres isn’t just Boise’s largest food truck park. In a city that adores outdoor entertainment and dining, surprisingly, it’s the only one.

Last year, Boise’s first food truck park, The Switchback, announced that it was closing at Harris Ranch after five years. And Cart Life, a year-round food truck hub envisioned on State Street, never came to fruition. It became dead in the water in 2022.

Boiseans “can still expect the same ol’ Green Acres,” according to organizers, “we’ll now just have some more room for dancing, eating and corn holing.”

Rotating food trucks and live music will continue to be the draw at Green Acres, which is a dog- and kid-friendly event.

No opening date this season has been announced yet. Last year, it returned to action April 19.
