The poster is getting married this year and has been working with her group of 16 friends to organize the trip. To ensure fairness in scheduling, “I asked everyone to send me the dates they were not available so I could pick a date that worked for most people—especially since some friends are traveling from other countries,” she writes in her post.

However, on that same day, one of her closest friends revealed that she had been considering a trip around the same time. This friend never mentioned her plans before and hadn’t made any travel arrangements.
Her reconsideration of the dates was prompted by someone suggesting that the bride's destination might be busy. The bride-to-be explained to her friend three times why the chosen date was final.
“Despite this," she writes, "she continued to push for a change.” The friend went so far as to create a separate poll in the group chat to see if others were able to change their own plans to accommodate hers.
Things escalated when she began messaging people privately in an attempt to convince them to move around their previous engagements, the bride-to-be writes.

The announcement left her friend upset. “Now, she’s upset and claims I embarrassed her by ‘calling her out’ instead of speaking to her privately—even though I had already tried three times,” the woman explains.
Despite feeling like she was put in a tough position, the bride-to-be remains adamant in her decision. She writes, “I understand she really wants to be there, but I also think it was unfair for her to disregard everyone else’s plans. I have no intention of changing the date.”
While the bride remains firm in her original plans, she has some doubt. "I think I might be [the a------], because I'm not willing to move their dates. Not even to explore other options."
However, many Redditors are siding with the poster, saying her friend needs to accept the plans for what they are. "The friend has to accept she can't go and that's on her," one person writes. "Her behavior is way out of line."
Another suggests, "The fact that you found a date that 15/16 people can attend is a miracle in and of itself! If she wants to come so bad, she should reschedule her own trip."
