'When Calls the Heart' Fans Have A Lot of Feelings About Erin Krakow’s Tribute to Lori Loughlin

From Good Housekeeping

  • When Calls the Heart star Erin Krakow shared a sweet birthday Instagram post about Lori Loughlin.

  • Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded guilty to charges filed in the nationwide college admissions bribery scandal this spring.

  • Candace Cameron Bure, another former co-star of Lori's, commented on the Instagram post.

It's been awhile since Hearties have seen Lori Loughlin and Erin Krakow together.

Until March of last year, the actresses worked closely together on Hallmark's hit series, When Calls the Heart. Once news about Lori's involvement in the nationwide college admissions scandal broke, Hallmark severed ties with the actress and the show pushed forward with little mention of her character, Abigail Stanton.

As time went on, fans looked to Erin for a reaction, especially since she had previously said that Lori "is one of the very best gifts When Calls the Heart has given me." Although she refrained from commenting on the situation at hand, Erin posted a heartfelt message on Lori's birthday last year to show everyone that she still stands by her "forever friend": "Happy Birthday to my forever friend with a heart of gold. Love you."

Earlier this week, she shared a similar tribute in celebration of Lori's 56th birthday. This time, however, she simplified her message: "Happy Birthday my forever friend. Love you. ❤️"

Hearties were delighted to see the two women together again, but even happier to see that Erin still publicly stands by her friend. "Real friends stick around in good times and bad. Says a lot about you," one fan wrote. "Oh my heart! You are the best friend," commented another.

Candace Cameron Bure clearly loved Erin's message, replying with "💕💕💕."

What's more, Lori's daughters both reacted to Erin's message (and we're guessing they showed it to their mom since she deactivated her Instagram months ago). Olivia Jade simply commented, "❤️❤️❤️❤️," while Bella wrote, "Love you Erin." Erin replied back to Lori's oldest daughter, "Love you too! You guys are stuck with me!"

The entire WCTH cast has been supportive of Lori during this time. Paul Greene, although initially shocked by the news, still stands by her: "Who she is and what she does as a philanthropist and how much she gives back … I don’t want to get into details of my opinion, but my heart goes out to her and my support is always with her," Paul told Us Weekly last May. Jack Wagner even compared Lori's sudden departure from the show to "the five stages of grief."
