The idea behind this handy machine is that you can turn any uniformly frozen block of food into a smooth, creamy treat in just minutes.

It has seven preset programs: ice cream, sorbet, gelato, milkshake, smoothie bowl, lite ice cream and mix-in. By pressing a single button, the machine will use the right combo of speed, pressure and time for your chosen snack. You can also use the re-spin function if you want a little extra softness and creaminess.

To use the Ninja Creami, combine your ingredients, freeze them for 24 hours, then process your mixture using one of the seven presets. Afterward, you can mix in cookies, candy, nuts, chunks of fruit or anything else you want for a customized treat.

The containers, lids and paddle are top-level dishwasher safe, making cleanup a cinch.

When assembled, the machine is 15.94 inches tall, 12.09 inches wide and 6.5 inches deep. (In centimetres, that's 40.49 x 30.71 x 16.51.)

It comes with two single-pint containers. Additional pints are available for purchase.

🏆 “Best investment ever.”

"This thing is magical," gushes one reviewer. "I'm in love." And that sentiment seems to hold true for most people who've purchased the Ninja Creami, with 90 per cent of Canadian Tire reviewers recommending the appliance. One shopper even jokes that, in case of a fire, they'd rescue just two things: "the desktop computer and our Creami."

Home chefs love that they can "experiment with healthy recipes." "It's keeping me from indulging" in foods with high fat and processed sugar, says one customer.

The biggest downside is that "it makes a lot of noise." Some reviewers say they shut the kitchen door when it's running to dampen the sound.

Many people were also annoyed that they were "required to leave a review" before being able to access recipes from Ninja. "Simple recipes should have come with the machine," says one shopper.

Still, they agree that the "product itself is fantastic." It's "easy to use" and "easy to clean." One professional chef says it's "the best kitchen gadget [I've] bought in years."

Since it only comes with two pints, some reviewers say they "wish it came with four containers."

The Ninja CREAMi 7-in-1 Ice Cream Maker is well worth the investment if you love frozen desserts and smoothies and want to try making healthier options at home. It's also a fun gadget for experimenting with flavours.

Since it's loud, you won't be able to use it if people are sleeping—but that's not the worst downside ever. And if you don't want to leave a review to access recipes from Ninja, turn to TikTok or do a quick internet search.
