Chili’s First New Dessert in 10 Years Is a Collab With Reese’s
It's chocolate-peanut butter perfection.
Some casual restaurant chains are dedicated to constant innovation. Take, for example, P.F. Chang’s exciting new Golden Feast. Other brands are more dedicated to an “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” ethos that keeps the good times rolling for years and years with the same great flavors.
You could say that Chili’s falls into the latter category. Though it introduced the new Big Smasher burger earlier this year, it’s been almost a decade since there’s been a new treat added to the dessert menu.
Not that we’re not thoroughly in love with the existing roster of Molten Chocolate Cake, cheesecake with strawberry purée, and the hot fudge-striped Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie. But we’re ready for another option. And right on time, Chili’s just added a new dessert that’s got our mouths watering.
Chili’s Introduces New Reese’s Peanut Butter Pie
In order to fully embrace the November chill, Chili’s is playing on our favorite comfort food flavor combo: chocolate and peanut butter. And it’s doing so with a little help from the best-known purveyor of the pairing: Reese’s. The candy brand has collaborated in the past year to make sweets for chains including Nothing Bundt Cakes and Crumbl Cookies, and even worked with Betty Crocker to bring the beloved Reese’s flavor home with new baking mixes.
Now, those looking to finish a night out at Chili’s with an indulgence have something new and delicious to save room for. The Peanut Butter Pie features a crumbly chocolate crust filled with peanut butter-flavored goodness and dotted with chocolate chips. On top, there’s a layer of ganache, a white chocolate drizzle, and Reese’s peanut butter cups for the salty-sweet smack we all crave.
But the pie isn’t the only new item for November. Chili’s wants diners to pair their dessert with the November Margarita of the Month, the Autumn Breeze Marg. To capture the feeling of the season, the company’s mixologists have concocted a mix of tequila, Triple Sec, orange and cranberry juices, and fresh sour mix. The tart tipple cuts through the heavier flavors of the Peanut Butter Pie with ease, and it’s only $6 to add it to your meal.
So after a dinner of off-menu Sauce-Tossed Mozzarella Sticks and those famous Baby Back Ribs, there’s no need to doubt how you’ll be ending your next meal at Chili’s. Peanut Butter Pie and an Autumn Breeze Marg sound like just what we need to celebrate the season with friends and family.
