Chrissy Teigen has always been open about her struggle with IVF over the years, including the process that lead to bringing her daughter Luna into the world.

Teigen needed to have IVF for her and husband John Legend to welcome Luna, the experience of which she recalled to Peopleincluding her choice to have a girl:

“I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me,” she said.

“It excited me to see… just the thought of seeing him with a little girl. I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond.

“A boy will come along. We’ll get there too, so it’s not like we really have to pick. But he definitely is very lucky to have a little girl.”

Yes, it is possible to ‘pick’ the sex of your baby using pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) – though it can be pricey.

While people also hit out at Teigen in response to this at the time, she recently according to People revealed that “a little boy is next” at the SAG awards.

So people assumed that she was pregnant, until she cleared up the matter on Twitter: “Since this is coming up again, I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah,” she tweeted.

And the internet being what it is, people aren’t happy – especially Twitter trolls looking for trouble.

One accused Teigen of not bothering to try naturally – a cruel thing to say to a woman who, like so many, has struggled to conceive.

But Teigen took it like a pro and hit back with the perfect answer:

“Hi Linda, thanks for asking, you complete witch. I tried for about 9 years. Anything else, let me know!”

Teigen, as always, on form in response to her haters – just like when people attacked her for choosing her Luna’s gender in the first place.
