And it's coming for a Whole Foods favorite.

Along with all the copycat treats, heat-and-eat apps, and deep discounts Costco is offering this month, the warehouse giant has just unveiled a brand new cake that’s quickly becoming a member favorite.
Fans who have already tried the new dessert can’t recommend it enough, and fans who haven’t yet are racing to the store. “Getting my car keys heading to Costco,” one fan announced, and we totally get it.
Costco’s New White Chocolate Raspberry Round Cake
At this point, we’ve all come to expect great things from the warehouse bakery. From classic sheet cakes to seasonal favorites, Costco has pretty much perfected the art of mass-produced deliciousness. But every so often, it drops something extra special that demands our full attention—and this is one of those times.
Introducing the White Chocolate Raspberry Round Cake, now available exclusively in Costco’s bakery. This nine-inch beauty features layers of light, fluffy vanilla cake, a decadent (and seedless) raspberry jam, silky white chocolate ganache, and a dreamy mascarpone mousse. Not only is the cake’s size sure to catch your eye, but the elegant design makes it the perfect centerpiece for a holiday table.

Now, if you're thinking this cake looks a little familiar, you're not alone. Several commenters have pointed out the similarities between this new creation and Whole Foods’ beloved Berry Chantilly cake—a dessert that caused a social media riot when the store changed the original recipe.
While the two cakes share a berries and cream vibe, Whole Foods' version features fewer layers and is made with whole berries and a Chantilly cream frosting. But maybe the recent uproar about the Berry Chantilly cake caught the attention of Costco’s bakery team, who decided to take inspiration from the berries-and-cream cult favorite.
“Would you say this is a remake of a Chantilly cake?” one commenter asked. We’ll leave that up to you to decide. Either way, we’re just happy to see it on Costco shelves.
Creator @costcohotfinds calls this “one of the best cakes [she has] ever had from Costco.” And we trust her judgment—she’s tried just about every dessert that’s come out of those busy bakery ovens.
