Costco's New Take-and-Bake Item Is 'Over the Top Good'
Plus, it can feed a crowd.
Costco is no stranger to offering us delicious food items we can’t wait to devour. While the staples never go out of style—ahem, that iconic hot dog combo—we’re always excited to try something new, too.
The warehouse club store's new Maple Butter Pecan Bar Cake is now our go-to fall treat, and the Take-and-Bake Margherita Pizza is ideal for those nights we want comfort food but with very little effort—even if the price tag is a little higher than most.
Speaking of full-on comfort, Costco has a big, new sandwich that is all about that and then some. If you’re a fan of everything saucy and cheesy, we’re pretty sure this new warehouse addition is one you’ll want to try.
Costco’s New Meatball Marinara Sandwich
According to the Instagram post by @costcohotfinds, Costco has a brand-new sandwich offering, and it’s a big one. The online post says Costco recently released “a giant meatball marinara sandwich with provolone cheese,” and one commenter added that a size like this is “perfect for parties!”
The latest premade item is carefully crafted with beef and pork meatballs doused in marinara sauce and sandwiched between "artisan hearth bread." The meatballs are also topped with shredded Parmesan cheese and, according to the social media post, “loads of provolone cheese.”
You can currently grab this new sandwich at Costco stores now for $5.99 per pound. All you need to do is bake it once you get home. One commenter on the post said, “I'd bake it standing on its edge so that all that goodness stays in place,” which makes sense.
The Instagram user who originally posted about this new find said they “covered it and baked it in the oven,” and the finished result was “over the top good.” From the post, we agree it looked pretty darn good with all that gooey melted cheese and the golden toasted bread. Between game days, busy weeknights, and impromptu fall get-togethers, there are plenty of scenarios in which this meatball sub would be perfect. We hope this one sticks around!
