A Greek restaurant in Macon has opened in a new location after a years-long closure.

Greek Corner Deli, now nestled in its new home at 781 Spring St. in Macon, invites diners to go on a Mediterranean culinary journey.

Since reopening in April 2024, the restaurant has quickly become a favorite spot for both locals and visitors, offering a refreshing take on Greek cuisine.

“I felt this area could use some fresh, healthy options,” said owner Arty Passias. “I am grateful to be back open.”

A warm welcome

Guests are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly captures the essence of Greek hospitality. Patrons can usually find Passias smiling behind the counter or working away in the kitchen.

The restaurant decor combines traditional Greek elements with a modern twist that creates a cozy and charming space where guests can relax and enjoy their meals.

The Greek Corner Deli menu is a true reflection of authentic Greek and Mediterranean flavors. Whether it’s souvlaki, moussaka, or spanakopita, Passias said each dish is prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients that ensure a burst of flavor in every bite.

Unique offerings like the Greek quesadilla and Greek chicken pita provide a creative take on classic favorites. The Greek eatery also offers a variety of vegetarian and vegan options.

The restaurant recently announced that it now offers delivery services to all downtown locations, so enjoying a taste of authentic Mediterranean is more convenient. The deli also offers catering services, making it a perfect choice for special events and gatherings.

Return to community

Corner Greek Deli originally opened in 2008 on Cherry Street downtown. Passias sold the location in 2018. He said the move from the old location to the new Spring Street address has allowed the restaurant to expand its reach and continue offering the high-quality dining experience that its patrons love.

“We offer great food at a great price,” said Passias. “Come see us.”
