Curvy Model Tess Holliday Slams Donald Trump
Model Tess Holliday is famous for her body-positive activism, which has helped her build a following of more than 1.4 million people on Instagram. But with the election just around the corner, Tess decided it was time to switch up her message and get political. On Saturday, she posted a picture of herself in a T-shirt that read, “Respect Women #DumpTrump."
“Our bodies are not for you to stare at or touch without our consent,” she wrote in the caption. “Women are not just sexual objects, women are not here for your consumption. So many of us have a sexual assault story, myself included.”
For Tess, supporting Trump means standing with his actions (which - refresher - includes bragging about grabbing women “by the pussy” to Billy Bush). “To endorse someone who not just condones this behavior but actively engages in it would be an awful step backwards for women not just in the US but across the world,” she continued. “#dumptrump #dumptrump #dumptrump Also might I add I’m NOT telling you who to vote for. Trump is a pig & that’s a fact. ✌🏻️.”
Of course, Tess’s top and message were not appreciated by everyone who follows her. "Meanwhile Hillary is funding ISIS," one commenter wrote. Another troll simply stated, "Trump 2016!!! 🙌🏻👌🏻👏🏻👍🏻✌🏻️."
