Deadpool 3 will go "in a completely different direction", Ryan Reynolds has confirmed.

The actor played the anti-hero/Wade Wilson in Fox's first two Deadpool movies, the most recent of which dropped in cinemas last year.

However, given that the Disney/Fox merger is expected to be completed before the third film begins production – with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige previously sharing the belief that the MCU will gain access to the likes of Deadpool and the X-Men in the "first six months" of 2019 – attention has turned to how Deadpool will be affected.

And, it looks like he will, as Reynolds recently said that the writers are "looking to go in a completely different direction" with the third instalment (via Variety).

"Often, they reboot or change a character maybe like four movies too late," he added.

Reynolds is currently promoting Deadpool 2 in China.

Interestingly, Chinese fans dubbed his character "Little Jianjian" which pretty much translates to "Little Bitchy Bitch" in English.

It's a fact which tickles us, no question, but it seems to tickle Ryan even more.

In fact, the actor seems to find it so hilarious, he's even considering adopting Little Bitchy Bitch as a Deadpool nickname and using it in the title of the third movie.

He added: "I feel like my wife gave that to me first, but I guess China can get the credit.

"It could have been something much weirder, like 'Hunting Wolf Blood-Chucker'. I’ll take Little Bitchy Bitch any day – it's the most fitting. In fact, Deadpool 3 should be called Deadpool 3: Little Bitchy Bitch."

Here's hoping.
