There are… too many sales to keep track of on Black Friday. Thankfully, some brands are starting the mega-sales earlier. One of these is Deciem, which houses the super popular The Ordinary, as well as Niod, and Hylamide.

The23 percent off everything sale started on November 1 and goes until the end of the month. Deciem calls this event its "Slowvember" and the goal, according to the brand, is to reduce panic purchasing, which can be detrimental to people's finances, as well as to the environment through wasteful consumption.

While the sale does last for a couple more weeks, considering the fanfare surrounding Deciem's brands, especially The Ordinary, the best pickings are going sooner rather than later. As I write this, out of stock products include The Ordinary's 2% Salicylic Acid and Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10%. Meanwhile, Niod is out of five products, including a personal favorite, Lip Bio-Lipid Concentrate.

A quick guide to the three Deciem brands I'm highlighting — The Ordinary, Niod, and Hylamide — and how they differ. I think of The Ordinary as the upper cusp Gen Z/lower cusp millennial child — the most barebones of them all, the most affordable, and the most transparent and single ingredient-based. Niod is the chic cousin who lives in Paris. The products are more expensive, but the formulas are also more complex and target different aspects of anti-aging. Hylamide is somewhere in between. The range is affordable, but less so than The Ordinary. They also have fewer products. With that in mind, these are the 10 products I recommend scooping up this month.

Best Overall: The Ordinary "Buffet"

The Ordinary is known for straightforward skincare products with one or two-star ingredients. If you don't want to play chemist and are looking for a one-and-done product from the affordable skincare brand, then it's time to meet Buffet. The formula is packed with different types of peptides and hyaluronic acid, a combination that purportedly helps with several signs of aging, as well as barrier support. One happy reviewer said, "I have found it visibly reduced [hyper]pigmentation, brightened my skin, and really evened out the tone. My face feels hydrated, fine lines have disappeared, and my skin feels smooth and clear." Several other reviewers tout Buffet's gentleness on even sensitive skin types.

Niod's Fractionated Eye-Contour Concentrate is a super-amplified version of an eye cream. The formula contains 28 anti-aging actives, including hyaluronic acid, to promote collagen production and essential skin nutrients, and reduce dark circles. Many reviewers shared that although this is a pricier product, it is worth the money. "I was initially hesitant to spend the [money] thinking, how much difference could it possibly make?" one reviewer wrote, adding, "this god-send serum effectively reversed all signs of aging from two babies and three years of grad school. My eyes look bright, tight, and well-nourished after only a week of use."

This mist-toner is great if you struggle with the appearance of your pores or blackheads. The plant-based formula flushes out impurities in the skin as one of the first steps in your skincare routine. "I can watch the pores on my cheeks practically disappear after misting," a shopper said, and added that the product has helped control their long-term oil production. "I'm on my second bottle and I can't imagine not having this product in my routine," they said.
