‘Delicious journey.’ Owners of popular restaurants in Warner Robins expand with burger brand

The same people behind Fried Green Tomatoes and No Name Chicken are about to open a new restaurant in Warner Robins with a new brand: No Name Burger.

“Our ‘Burger Revolution’ is all about transforming the way you experience burgers,” Candice Miller, a managing partner in several of the restaurants, said in an email. “We’re not just serving up the classic beef burgers.

“We’re offering a variety of unique, high-quality meats and creative combinations that will change your expectations of what a burger can be. It’s a delicious journey that redefines the classic burger one bite at a time,” she said.

No Name Burger is targeted to open in early August next to its sister restaurant, No Name Chicken, in the Kroger shopping center off Ga. 96.

‘Fusion burgers’

“We’re working on the ingredients and sauces,” said Hernandez Gennio, kitchen manager for both restaurants.

Customers at the new restaurant can expect meat choices of beef, chicken, shrimp and pork, Hernandez said.

“If they want a combination of beef and shrimp, we’ve got that option,” he said.

In addition to the “fusion burgers,” the restaurant is expected to serve up “potato puppies” and milkshakes, according to the restaurant’s sign.

The fusion burgers are designed to blend different styles, ingredients and techniques to create new flavors, according to Miller.

“For example, one of our signature items combines our crispy southern fried pork cutlet with Asian inspired culinary traditions,” Miller said in a text message. “We will also feature a handmade panko shrimp patty that can be served zesty or spicy, as well as fuse both concepts by offering our original No Name sauces that our customers already love.

“We are keeping our potato puppies secret. You’ll just have to come try them! The real question is how will you top them?”

Prepping for opening

Workers were busy Wednesday getting the restaurant ready to open.

The setup is very similar to what customers are accustomed to at No Name Chicken next door. There’s an order counter on the left with the kitchen behind it, and seating along the right side of the restaurant.

The new restaurant also features a soda fountain.

Several small chalkboards are along the wall of the new restaurant. Titles on the chalkboard include Shrimp St., Beef Blvd., Chicken Ct., and Pork Pl. There’s also a chalkboard for a No Name Bowl and No Name Dogs.

The interior includes a red and white checkered ceiling.

No Name Burger is expected to be another successful spin-off restaurant for the family behind the Fried Green Tomato restaurants across Middle Georgia.

The backstory

The family’s first restaurant was the popular 478 Country Buffet in the Peach Shops in Byron, which opened in 2016.

With the success of that restaurant, family members decided they wanted to offer the same Southern comfort food but to move to a fast-food, cafeteria style concept, Miller previously told The Telegraph.

They opened the first Fried Green Tomatoes restaurant in Centerville in October 2018. They now have Fried Green Tomatoes restaurants in Macon, Milledgeville, Fort Valley and Warner Robins.

Miller is a managing partner in the Fried Green Tomatoes restaurants in Centerville, Macon and Warner Robins, as well as all of the sister restaurants, No Name Chicken.

In August 2022, the first No Name Chicken opened at 778 Ga. 96, Suite 130, in the Kroger shopping center in the Bonaire community of Warner Robins. No Name Burger is in Suite 135.

No Name Chicken is known for its wings, tenderloin sliders and fried rice. Signature sauces include Peach on Fire, Mucho Macho and Crabby Cajun. No Name Chicken is also known for its rubber chicken mascot.

No Name Chicken now has a total of three locations, including two in Warner Robins and its latest store at 3745 Bloomfield Road in Macon that opened in February.

No Name Burger is in the former Potato Po-Ta-Toe location.
