Demi Lovato Debuted a New Tattoo

Demi Lovato’s Letter to Her Late Father Is a "Beautiful Release"

"It was this beautiful release of all the resentments I had toward him."

With quarantine happening and tattoo parlors shuttered for the most part from coast to coast, Demi Lovato managed to get some new ink. In an Instagram post, Lovato gave her followers a peek at a dainty, black-and-white butterfly on her neck. While there's no clear timetable as to when she fit in an appointment with an artist, the tattoo looks fully healed and while it's delicate and almost photorealistic, it's a big piece that's sure to be on prominent display.

Lovato's caption didn't offer any more details, simply stating, "Dear little me, I’m sorry that it took so long but baby your free.."

The tattoo isn't visible in Lovato's recent engagement photos or in snaps from a date at Nobu with her fiancé Max Ehrich.

The butterfly is Lovato's third neck tattoo. Back in December 2019, artist Dr. Woo shared a photo of her first, the word "survivor" in a thin script. Her second is by Alessandro Capozzi and a large piece on the back of her neck depicting a version of the "Divine Feminine."
