Dua Lipa’s latest look embraces the asymmetrical dressing trend
On stage, Dua Lipa always looks like a star. While taking her Radical Optimism Tour across Australia for the past few days, the singer has stepped out in everything from The Attico dresses and Valentino stoles to custom bodysuits from Jean Paul Gaultier and Chanel. However, her style game doesn’t end once the stage lights come up.
During a stop in Sydney, the Houdini singer enjoyed a pop-up event with fans, where she was the epitome of glamour in a leathery chocolate dress by Christopher Esber.
The asymmetrical design was like a modern toga, with one side being sleeveless while a cape sleeve draped opposite it. But to give the timeless silhouette a twist, the dress featured a modern touch along the waist, where a matching belt peeked out from under some gathered material. As we’ve seen all over the runways, wonky is certainly in right now.
Finally, to complete her look, Lipa let her jet black hair hang loose, while accessorising with some super subtle jewellery, including a set of silver rings and some matching huggie hoop earrings that climbed up her earlobes.
Lipa showed off the look in an Instagram slideshow, which she captioned: “SYDNEY POP UP.” Throughout the carousel, Lipa showcased her fit from many different angles, while also posing in front of a mirror wall that was covered in messages from fans.
With months left to go on her tour, rest assured that Lipa will have plenty more off-duty events in which to dress up—and we’ll be paying close attention.
