The 2025 Junos are almost here, meaning it's just about time to celebrate the best in Canadian music. From Shania Twain rocking a hockey jersey-inspired ensemble and Justin Bieber wearing his signature purple, to Pamela Anderson getting dolled up and Shawn Mendes opting for a Canadian classic, stars are known to get stylish at the Juno Awards. Below are some of the most iconic and fashionable outfits celebrities wore in the past for Canada's biggest night in music.
Shania Twain (2003)
Shania Twain hosted the 2003 Junos in Ottawa, opting for a series of costume changes featuring outfits based on the hockey jerseys of every Canadian NHL team. Her Montreal Canadiens-inspired sequin look was the definition of iconic, complete with a whale tail for a touch of spunk.
Shawn Mendes (2022)
What better way to show off your roots than a classic Canadian tuxedo? Shawn Mendes dressed to impress at the 2022 Junos with his denim-on-denim look, featuring a casual blue jacket and matching flared pants that some had considered his "best look yet."
Justin Bieber (2010)
Justin Bieber received his first-ever Junos nominations in 2010 when he was just 16, but since then, he's never attended another ceremony in person. Just breaking into the scene that year, the "Baby" hitmaker rocked his then-signature purple with an untucked buttoned shirt, matching high-top sneakers as well as black jeans and a bowtie.
Nelly Furtado (2007)
Nelly Furtado first hosted the Junos in 2007 in Saskatoon, where she also took home five awards that night. Before making her grand entrance in a feathered tutu look, Furtado looked divine in a strapless black gown the red carpet.
Jessie Reyez (2018)
Jessie Reyez blended her feminine and masculine sides on the red carpet for the 2018 Junos in Vancouver. The "Figures" artist wore a black strapless dress with a skirt covered in pink flowers, but also paired the look with a black leather jacket hanging on her arms.
Pamela Anderson (2006)
Pamela Anderson was the host of the 2006 Junos in Halifax and even used the platform to call out Canada's seal hunt. While the actress might've fell flat for some on stage, her red carpet look was both casual and chic for the time, blending denim, wedges, large sunglasses and a velvet cleavage-revealing blazer.
Elliot Page, Tegan and Sara
Menswear often lacks style and pizazz on red carpets, but the looks Elliot Page and Tegan and Sara wore for the 2024 Junos in Halifax were top notch. Page went for a clean look featuring a golf shirt, slacks and a buttoned jacket. On the other hand, Sara Quin wore a purple suit featuring a crossbody jacket, while sister Tegan opted for an oversized multi-panel suit.
Shania Twain (2011)
Twain can easily be deemed a style icon, and the dress she wore for the 2011 Junos in Toronto confirms that status. The "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" songstress looked divine in a sleeveless grey Zuhair Murad dress featuring black sequins in a spot-like pattern — an elegant look for her Canadian Music Hall of Fame induction that year.
Deborah Cox (2009)
Deborah Cox knew Vancouver needed a touch of colour for the 2009 Junos, opting for a green, yellow and white sleeveless tie-dye dress that'll turn anyone's head. The "We Can't Be Friends" singer paired the look with silver jewelry and matching strappy sandals.
Alessia Cara (2016)
Alessia Cara went loud and proud for the 2016 Junos in Calgary, opting for a patterned sequin dress from Tadashi Shoji featuring mesh inserts on the red carpet. The "Scars to Your Beautiful" singer paired the looked with gold jewelry, including two bangles and rectangular drop earrings.
Bryan Adams and Tina Turner (1985)
Bryan Adams and Tina Turner were your classic rockers at the 1985 Junos, as they performed a duet of "Tears Are Not Enough." Even their outfits reflected that energy, with Adams opting for a greaser-like ensemble with a leather jacket, white shirt and jeans, and Turner going with a matching cropped leather jacket, red skirt and fishnet tights.
Jully Black (2012)
Jully Black was ahead of her time when it came to fashion at the 2012 Junos in Ottawa. The "Until I Stay" singer went for a body-hugging sleeveless red dress featuring a plunging neckline. She paired the glamorous look with silver sandals topped with ruby red bows, and carried a black leather clutch for the night.
Simu Liu (2023)
Simu Liu has often brought his fashion A-game to the Junos, and the 2023 ceremony in Edmonton was no exception. The "Barbie" actor wore an emerald green suit at one point in the night throughout his hosting duties, looking dapper in the outfit that was tied together with a loose strap.
Fefe Dobson (2005)
Fefe Dobson is your classic 2000s punk-rocker, which is exactly the energy she brought to the red carpet at the 2005 Junos in Winnipeg. The "Stuttering" singer wore a black gothic calf-length dress featuring a sheer bodice. She paired the look with a red heart pendant necklace as well as black and red heels.
Drake (2011)
Love him or hate him, Drake undeniably cleaned up for the 2011 Junos in Toronto. The rapper hosted the event that year and led with six nominations, but unfortunately took home no awards. Still, he won on the red carpet with his brown suit that ensured he was dressed to impress that evening.
Carly Rae Jepsen (2010)
Carly Rae Jepsen missed out on winning any Junos during the 2010 ceremony in St. John's, Nfld., but the singer was on point in terms of style for the red carpet. That year, the "Call Me Maybe" artist wore a black asymmetrical one-sleeve dress that featured a floor-length fringe for a touch of drama.
Tate McRae (2023)
Tate McRae wore one of the best red carpet dresses the Junos has seen at the 2023 ceremony in Edmonton. The "greedy" singer wore Zaffori's White Peacock Dress featuring eight gold birds framing the U-shaped plunging neckline.
Lights (2009)
Lights was a winner at the 2009 Junos — both in terms of awards and the red carpet. Winning New Artist of the Year, the "Drive my Soul" singer wore an iridescent purple dress designed by Sarah Catalfo, which featured a low open back. It was one of the pieces she auctioned off in support of the 2013 Typhoon Haiyan Relief in the Philippines.
TALK (2024)
TALK went a royal all-white for the 2024 Junos in Halifax, opting for a wood crown-like headpiece, a fur-trimmed overcoat, a matching suit and clog-like shoes from Crocs.
Michael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato (2013)

She paired the look with a matching large flat clutch that read "rich fashion advisory explicit content."
Nelly Furtado (2024)
Furtado took on Junos hosting duties for the second time at the 2024 ceremony in Halifax. On stage, she looked stunning wearing a silver metallic ensemble featuring matching gloves, fishnet tights and dangling rhinestone embellishments.
Avril Lavigne (2004)
Everyone with an affinity for the punk-rock style wanted to be Avril Lavigne in the 2000s. The look she wore at the 2004 Junos in Edmonton pushed that desire further for many, as she stepped out wearing layers of tank tops, elbow-long fishnet fingerless gloves and studded black cargo pants.
Feist (2012)
Feist is one of Canada's indie music darlings, and the red long-sleeve dress she wore for the 2012 Junos in Ottawa just makes you want to love her even more. The "1234" singer paired the lace gown with black accessories, including open-toe heels, a gold-trim clutch and a gold buckle belt.
Tom Cochrane (1992)
Tom Cochrane's off-white western jacket with fringe might've been something that was overlooked at the 1992 Junos in Toronto. However, the piece — which the "Life Is a Highway" singer paired with a grey top, black belt and blue jeans — is something many would die for to this day.
Kardinal Offishall (2006)
Kardinal Offishall isn't afraid to play with fashion, and the look he wore at the 2006 Junos in Halifax proves being comfortable with your style can lead to great looks. The "Dangerous" rapper wore a pinstripe blazer over a white tank top, pairing the look with a large gold chain necklace featuring a smiling face, as well as a white knit paperboy hat.
Haviah Mighty and Omega Mighty (2024)
Who else isn't afraid to take fashion risks? Haviah Mighty and Omega Mighty, who stepped onto the 2024 Junos red carpet in Halifax wearing head-turning outfits that were easily some of the best looks that night. Haviah wore an all-white bra-less look featuring a sheer cape, rhinestoned vest, baggy pants and shining eye piece. On the other hand, Omega went for an off-the-shoulder light gold gown featuring an intricate design.
The Weeknd (2015)
The Weeknd opted for a classic suit for the 2015 Junos in Hamilton, Ont. However, the "Blinding Lights" singer, who won Artist of the Year that year, opted for no tie or bowtie, leaving the top buttons of his white shirt loose for a more casual look.
