Dua Lipa's shower curtain-style mini skirt is equal parts confusing and amazing

Dua Lipa loves experimenting with her fashion choices, and this openness to trying new things is why she's one of our favourite celebrity style icons. While the artist's red carpet outfits are undeniably cool, Dua's Instagram is often where we see some of her edgiest looks. From crochet bikinis to catsuits with countless cutouts, Dua's grid freqently debuts trends before they hit the high street. And her latest look is another notable one, featuring a pleated mini skirt that, in all honestly, is equal parts confusing and amazing.

For context, Dua is currently on the UK leg of her Future Nostalgia tour. So far, she's ticked off Scotland, Wales and parts of England. Overnight, Dua took to Instagram to share a sneak peek of her local antics so far. The post, captioned "somewhere...", features a combination of concert snaps, backstage moments, cute restaurant snaps, delicious food pics and the odd mirror selfie.

Our favourite snap, though, has to be her 'about town' outfit photo, including a pleated mini skirt by the brand Chopova Lowena. And, while you'd be forgiven for thinking this is a classic pleated mini skirt, I invite you to take a closer look. When you zoom in, you can see that the skirt is actually comprised of a leather belt style waistband, with loads of different plaid prints attached by carabiner clips, kinda like a shower curtain. Yep, this skirt is giving punk goodness and I, for one, am high-key obsessed with the piece.

Dua teams the skirt with a Balenciaga x Gucci scarf, a grey knit, knee-high leather boots and dark tights. As for accessories, the singer wears her hair up in a retro claw clip, teamed with a pair of black sunglasses. See the look here:
