The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly relocated to Meghan’s hometown of Los Angeles, California.

Harry and Meghan have moved out of their home on Vancouver Island, where they’ve been based since stepping down as senior members of the royal family, a source confirmed to Harper’s Bazaar US.

It’s thought that the couple have been staying in a secluded compound in Los Angeles, in a bid to stay safe from the coronavirus pandemic, according to People.

The relocation means that the Sussexes and their young son Archie will be closer to Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, and Meghan’s friends who have visited them in Vancouver, reports People.

Both Harry and Meghan will officially step down as senior working royals next week on 31 March.

Their transition means they'll no longer retain an office at Buckingham Palace and will no longer utilise the word "royal" in independent ventures or use "his or her royal highness" in their titles.

Meghan's first venture after stepping down was confirmed this week; she has recorded a voiceover to forthcoming Disney nature documentary, Elephant, which debuts on 3 April on Disney+.

The duchess will narrate Elephant, which will focus on an elephant family's journey across Africa. Disney also confirmed that Natalie Portman - a long-standing animal rights campaigner - would narrate a separate documentary called Dolphin Reef.
