Dylan Dreyer is ready for her next big move.

In March, the Today show coanchor excitedly announced that she wrote a children’s picture book entitled Misty the Cloud: A Very Stormy Day about “a little cloud with very big feelings.” The NBC News meteorologist shared that she and her husband, Brian Fichera, have been working on this "passion project" for the past decade together. The mother of two (with another one on the way!) also revealed at the time that Misty the Cloud would be hitting bookshelves this fall on September 14.

Now, with summer slowly coming to a close, Dylan shared an update with fans this week on Instagram about her upcoming book — and it sounds like readers will have to wait a little bit longer for its release.

“I pride myself on being good at predicting the weather … but I’ve got a lot to learn when it comes to predicting book release dates!” she wrote. “Misty the Cloud is running a couple weeks behind schedule but you can expect her arrival on 9/28!

Dylan continued: “Why she isn’t just cruising up into the jetstream to get here sooner is beyond me! I hope you’re as excited to meet her and her friends as I am to introduce you to them!! … Thank you for supporting me in this new adventure!!”

Upon hearing about Dylan's upcoming children's book, the Today show star's fans immediately rushed to the Instagram comments section to share their excitement and support.

“Can’t wait to order this one for my students!” one follower wrote. “I can’t wait to get mine! I am sure it is worth the wait!” a different fan said. “Supporting you and your exciting new adventure is worth waiting for. ✔️ Already pre-ordered and can’t wait to meet Misty and her friends 🌧️🌦️🌤️⛈️⛅🌨️☁️,” a follower commented.

According to the picture book’s description, after Misty the Cloud can’t shake off a bad day her friends and family help her “[accept] that sometimes she’s just going to be a little stormy — and it will always pass.” This new title will mark the first installment in a new picture book series “about how to deal with good days, bad days, and everything in between.” Dylan will combine her weather knowledge and her motherhood experience for the franchise.

So exciting!
