A Canadian hockey star and his wife are sharing an update on their newly expanded family.

Edmonton Oilers' player Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and wife Breanne Nugent-Hopkins (formerly Windle) shared heartwarming photos from their first few months with newborn daughter Lennon Ayla.

Breanne took to Instagram over the weekend, with a carousel captioned "Life with Lennon," along with a white heart emoji.

The photos showed the baby, seemingly shortly after being born, being held by her dad. In another photo, Nugent-Hopkins was pictured carrying her out of the hospital.

The baby was then pictured cozied up in a white onesie with bunny ears, and then napping on her mother's lap next to their dog. Two other photos showed Lennon smiling up at the camera, and one showed the couple holding her on a skating rink.

Nugent-Hopkins's followers and Oilers fans rushed to the comments to compliment the couple on their newest addition to their family.

"She is so beautiful," one Instagram user wrote.

"Oh my goodness she's so perfect," another added, while someone wrote to the mom, "She's the spitting image of you."

They weren't the only ones to point that out. "I love that she has your eyes Brie! Hopefully they stay that way!," a person commented.

"She is so stinkin' cute! What a pretty little sweetheart," another said.

This was Nugent-Hopkins' first post since announcing the birth of their daughter. Eleven weeks ago, she shared Lennon was born Aug. 19, weighing at seven pounds and nine ounces.

Many of their friends, including fellow Oilers' players and their partners, congratulated the couple.

The wife of fellow Oilers star Connor McDavid, Lauren Kyle commented: "She's so so beautiful! So happy for you both. Can't wait to meet her!"

Chloe Skinner, the wife of the team's goaltender, called the baby a "precious angel," adding, "So happy for you guys!"

Emma Barrie, who recently married NHLer Tyson Barrie, revealed Bre "literally manifested this beautiful girl into the world!" She added a more personal note, saying "The name takes me back to first meeting you! Well done mama."
