Elizabeth Hurley wished her ex Hugh Grant a belated birthday — but it was worth the tardiness. In an Instagram post, she offered a sweet message and a clip from Love, Actually that shows off Grant's unparalleled dance moves and unmatched exuberance. Grant's actual 60th birthday was on Wednesday, but Hurley posted the video clip today, blaming the timing on technical difficulties.
"A belated (because it took me two days to work out how to screen record)," Hurley captioned the post. "Happy 60th Birthday to the glorious Hugh Grant - a magnificent addition to the human race - even though he looks like a monkey." She finished the note with a heart emoji.

Fans will recall that Hurley and Grant were together for 13 years before parting ways, though the two have remained close. They're so close, in fact, that Grant is godfather to Hurley's son, Damian. Hurley's not shy about talking about Grant's personal life, either. After he got married in 2018, she said that she was glad to see him so happy.
"He seems very, very happy," she told Harper's Bazaar. "He has three children with his wife, Anna, who is adorable, and he’s a very happy man."

Grant is open about the relationship, too, telling People that the two remain great friends — though they're more like siblings now.
"We’re like brother and sister," Grant said. "I think it’s partly because we went from zero to somewhere together, and we went through terrible years at the beginning when neither of us had any work, living in a tiny flat. It was quite bonding."
