Emily Ratajkowski Poses Naked Atop A Horse For Fashion Shoot

Can you really call a series of nude photos a ‘fashion shoot’ if there is no actual fashion involved? That’s the question we’re all asking about Emily Ratajakowski’s snaps for Harper’s Bazaar’s August issue.

The photos, shared on both Emily and the magazine’s Instagram accounts, show the actress straddling a horse completely starkers, with nothing but her long brunette locks protecting her modesty. Although a video that Emily herself posted on Instagram shows that she was in fact wearing a thong for the shoot (far more hygienic when riding a horse), which was edited out of the pics.

The photos, Harper’s Bazaar explains on the social media platform, accompany an interview with the star on "sexuality, shaming, and the notorious #KimKardashian selfie” as well as Emily’s views on famed feminist Naomi Wolf.

This isn’t the first time that Emily’s stood up for a woman’s right to own her sexuality.

When Kim Kardashian released *that* naked snapshot, Emily was one of the first A-listers to jump to the reality star’s defense and post her own candid Instagram photo.

The actress, who shot to fame playing the other woman in ‘Gone Girl’, also penned an essay for Lena Dunham’s newsletter Lenny about sexual shaming and ownership.

“The implication is that to be sexual is to be trashy because being sexy means playing into men’s desires,” she wrote. “To me, ‘sexy’ is a kind of beauty, a kind of self-expression, one that is to be celebrated, one that is wonderfully female.”

Prior to that, the star spoke to The New York Times about how women perceived to be 'sex symbols’ are also perceived to be nothing else, with society essentially telling them that if they own their sexual nature, then they forfeit the right to own anything else.
