Emma Bridgewater brings back old favourites for 40th anniversary
Founded in 1985, Emma Bridgewater will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025.
To mark this milestone and kick off the celebrations, the iconic pottery brand has unveiled a special collection featuring beloved classics and fresh designs.
Emma Bridgewater was founded out of a desire to create beautiful, handcrafted pottery that was both functional and decorative. After struggling to find a mug for her Mother, Emma sought to bring back the tradition of English pottery with a modern twist. Drawing inspiration from her childhood kitchen, Emma's first designs were a mug, bowl, jug and dish.
Today, Emma Bridgewater produces hundreds of designs, including the best-selling Polka Dot pattern and Black Toast, designed by artist Matthew Rice.

"Doesn't the pattern on our Chintz 1/2 Pint Mug make you think of floral motifs on wallpaper on the walls and sloping ceilings of an attic bedroom, replete with a wrought iron bedstead and much-loved teddy on a Lloyd Loom chair in the corner."
