How does an actress feel at home on set? The hosts of the podcast “Smartless” asked Emma Stone that question on her feature episode. The "Poor Things" star’s answers touched the world of food and drink—and we can relate.

“Every day for a snack, I have apples and peanut butter,” she revealed. Co-host Will Arnett shared her affection for healthy snacks, revealing that his favorite on-set treat is peanut butter and rice cakes. Meanwhile, one of Arnett’s co-hosts, Jason Bateman (the other is fellow funnyman, Sean Hayes) joked that they were splurging on nut butters.

Stone, however, defended her daily peanut butter habit. “Peanut butter gives you a little hit of protein and a BIG hit of joy. It’s delicious,” she said.

Why Apples and Peanut Butter Make a Perfect Snack

The classic duo forms a satisfying snack cherished for contrasting yet complementary flavors and textures. The crisp, juicy sweetness of apples cuts the rich, nutty taste of peanut butter, creating a delightful balance that appeals to many palates. It's no wonder even celebrities love it. And better yet, the superstar blend of apples and peanut butter is the perfect on-the-go snack. It's as easy as slicing your fruit and spreading your favorite brand over each bite.

If you love peanut butter paired with apple as much as Emma (and as much as we do), here are some recipes to try:

Emma Stone’s Daily Coffee Order

What else makes Stone’s on-set trailer her happy place? Making sure that she has her usual Starbucks order in hand. “Every day, I have a Starbucks coffee. It doesn’t matter where I am. It could be in the greatest coffee places in the world—Europe, wherever,” the actress admits.

And she always has the same order, a Coconut Misto. Her 20-ounce Venti features regular coffee frothed up with steamed coconut milk. Nothing too fancy, but exactly what the Oscar winner requires for an energetic performance. Paired with her favorite snack, Stone’s indulgences are nutritious, but enough fun to get her through a long day at work.

Now, after work in the McDonald's drive-thru? Well, that's a different kind of comfort food entirely.
