Everlane just launched a cruelty-free line of down coats—and they're so cozy

Like it or not, winter is unfortunately on the way. And if you’re looking for a coat to brave the ultra-chilly Canadian season, Everlane has just managed to create a line of cruelty-free down coats that we’re coveting.
Known for their sustainable fashion that’s also seriously stylish, the retailer has just released two puffer coats as part of their new ReDown line, made almost entirely of recycled material.
The ReDown Sleeping Bag Puffer features all the comfort of a sleeping bag, but is considerably cuter.
“Surprisingly lightweight for its length, our ReDown Sleeping Bag Puffer insulates your entire body from head to (nearly) toe,” says the Everlane website. “It has an insulated hood, windproof cuffs, and button-tab pockets, as well as contrasting black trim and a shiny finish.”
If you’re looking for something less cocoon-ish, the brand also released a shorter puffer, the ReDown Puffy Puff.
“So warm, yet so light,” says the Everlane website. “Complete with an insulated hood, windproof cuffs, and button-tab pockets, as well as contrasting black trim and a shiny finish, the ReDown Puffy Puff is lightweight but still doubles down on warmth.”
Both jackets are made from recycled down comforters and pillows, and the soft outer shell is made of 100% recycled fabric with PFC-free water-repellency. The Sleeping Bag Puffer is made with 18 recycled plastic water bottles while the shorter Puffy Puff is made with 13.
