Everlane just released new limited-edition summer shades of their top-rated Tread sneaker
Just in time for the summer, Everlane has dropped three new, limited-edition shades of their hugely popular Tread sneaker.
Everlane describes Tread to be “longer lasting” and having a “lighter footprint” than other trainers. The shoe originally came in seven stylish colours, including blush pink and classic black, but the latest three shades for summer are inspired by the longest day of the year: lavender, sand and slate.
“Designed to be worn every day—and actually made to last,” Everlane explains on its website. “Our leather trainer is the lowest impact of its kind: less waste, less energy, and 54 per cent less virgin plastic. We’ve also offset the emissions we can’t eliminate—yet.”
The sole of the shoe is made with “a blend of natural and recycled rubber that’s 94.2% free of virgin plastic” while the upper part is made with “full-grain leather from Saigon TanTec, a Gold-Certified tannery.”
The sneaker was debuted earlier this spring to rave reviews — it currently has nearly 500 reviews with an average 4.62 star rating.
While the Tread collection isn’t going away anytime soon, these three shades are only available for the summer and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
