Everything we’re shopping from Kate Moss's Zara collection
Want to dress like Kate Moss? For most of us with our finger on the fashion pulse, the answer is an obvious, immediate “yes”. Luckily, it’s about to be easier than ever thanks to the supermodel joining forces with high street favourite, Zara.
Far from a celebrity lending their name to a fast fashion edit, Kate and her longtime collaborator, stylist Katy England, have created a 46-piece (!!) line inspired by some of her favourite and most iconic garments selected from her covetable, lovingly curated archives.
That silver mini dress photographed stomping across the Glastonbury fields circa 2005? Add it to bag! There are laser cut dresses in classic colour ways of cream and black, cut on the bias in a timeless slip style silhouette. Faux fur coats and patent trenches, sequin embellished bralettes and more than a dose of animal print – both leopard (natch) and snake.
A little bit disco, a little bit rock’n’roll, the collection is exactly what you’d expect and fills the hole of Kate’s much lusted-after Topshop ranges that ran from 2007-2014. A hole that has existed for over a decade, but that we were only vaguely conscious of. For those that can remember, I needn’t remind you of the glory days of the great British high street – AKA when Topshop still occupied four floors on the corner of Oxford Circus. There are many that still mourn the brand’s IRL demise (though we are eternally grateful to ASOS for giving it a home online).
The Kate Moss Zara party capsule hits all the right nostalgia notes, with the icon herself citing the '70s of Charlotte Rampling and Lauren Hutton, Studio 54 and Led Zeppelin as inspirations. And yet, Kate's inimitable, trademark style is present in every piece. Somehow translated into a contemporary collection of classic party pieces of clothing, shoes and accessories.
In short, we're spoilt for choice. And competition will no doubt be tough to actually get our hands on what we're eyeing up (read: everything) when the collection drops in select stores worldwide and on zara.com on Saturday 30 November.
