MILAN — RH — the American brand that is on a mission to create a curated world of luxury living, travel, dining and design services — continues to expand its network of international collaborators.
On Monday, Corte Madera, Calif.-based RH told WWD that it added two new designers to its roster: Mathias de Ferm from Belgium and French, Milan-based designer Arthur Gentil. As it did in February 2024, RH contends that its 2025 outdoor furniture collection sourcebook is the largest curated and fully integrated outdoor assortment under one brand in the world.
“Presenting more than 40 exclusive collections from internationally renowned designers, the Sourcebook debuts at 432 pages — the brand’s most inspired Outdoor design resource to date,” the firm said in a statement.
The 2025 edition of the sourcebook includes the work of returning collaborators Sydney’s Nicholas and Harrison Condos, Los Angeles-based designer Ann Marie Vering and Spanish designer Mario Ruiz.
Sourcebooks have been a key driver for RH’s business in recent years. In 2023, its 604-page sourcebook marked the culmination of chairman and chief executive officer Gary Friedman’s goal to unite some of the world’s most renowned global designers and manufacturers to develop and showcase their work on RH’s platform, and formed part of the company formerly known as Restoration Hardware‘s bid to turn itself into a true U.S. luxury brand. The RH sourcebooks are aimed at potential and current customers, as well as interior designers, and are fueled by RH’s ethos of “There Are Pieces That Furnish a Home and Those That Define It.”
This season, de Ferm’s first collaboration, the Striata collection, is characterised by handwoven-all weather rope and reeded detailing, while Sedona by Gentil, is also distinguished by handwoven accents, like all-weather cane. Sedona, which is also available in all-weather aluminium, embraces the bold geometric forms of modern architecture, showcasing an elegant juxtaposition of solid and open space.
Harrison and Nicholas Condos who garnered recognition for their Bondi collection in 2024, this time incorporated carved travertine into their designs. The Mylo tables for example, were crafted with a sloped top and smooth radius curves inspired by the water-carved pools of Greece’s Sarakiniko Beach.
In its fiscal 2023, RH reported $3.03 billion in sales. In September, Friedman forecasted full fiscal year demand in the range of 8 percent to 10 percent, down from 12 percent to 14 percent guided in June, and revenue growth now in the range of 5 percent to 7 percent, down from 8 to 10 percent revenue growth. As for 2025, he was confident that demand would pick up. “Despite expectations for industry conditions to remain challenging until interest rates ease and the housing market begins to rebound, we expect our demand trends to accelerate throughout 2024 and into 2025,” he said.
