Exhausted by the election? Here are some November travel deals to help you escape.

One thing we can all agree on is how stressed we all are with this presidential election.

No matter how you're voting on Tuesday, this election cycle has inarguably been exhausting, and some share of the country will be ready to escape by the end of the week.

If you're not thrilled about the outcome or just need to decompress after weeks and weeks of riding the "pollercoaster," you'll be glad to know there are some great deals to get you away from the U.S. before Thanksgiving, when we all have to gather 'round the table and hash out what just happened with our most combative relatives.

Here's where the data shows you can get the best deal on your escape.

Airfare deals

It turns out early-to-mid-November is a great time to go to Europe.

Data from online booking platform Hopper shows that Barcelona, Madrid, Copenhagen, Milan and Lisbon are all reachable from major U.S. aviation gateways in the next few weeks for as little as a few hundred dollars round-trip.

Hopper checked prices between Nov. 5 and Nov. 22. Some of the deals to Europe highlighted in that window include:

  • Boston to Barcelona for as low as $496 per round-trip ticket

  • Chicago to Lisbon for as low as $501 per round-trip ticket

  • Dallas to Madrid for as low as $570 per round-trip ticket

  • Los Angeles to Venice for as low as $475 per round-trip ticket

  • New York to Copenhagen for as low as $443 per round-trip ticket

If a beach getaway is more what you're aiming for, there are good deals to international warm-weather destinations as well. Some of the deals highlighted by Hopper include:

  • Los Angeles to San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, for as low as $318 per round-trip ticket

“November is off-peak for these spots as weather tends to be rainy or cooler, and they haven't yet ramped up for festive Christmas markets,” the Hotels.com spokesperson said in an email.

Deals can also be found in Japan.

“Osaka offers the most budget-friendly rates, with Tokyo and Kyoto also featuring averages below $250/night in the Hotels.com app,” the spokesperson added. Travelers may also see bargains in Seoul, South Korea; Taipei, Taiwan; and Singapore.

General travel advice

To avoid possible flight delays, especially on a last-minute trip when the timing might be extra sensitive, it's usually a good idea to take the earliest flight you can. Those departures are the least likely to be delayed or canceled by weather.

As you plan your getaway, it's also a good idea to be as flexible as you can with travel dates. That can help you find the best possible deals.
