Need a new eyelash curler? These are the the 12 best that we've tested

Trust me, these are the best eyelash curlers Vanese Maddix

When it comes to my beauty routine, there’s one step I refuse to neglect: anything to do with my eyelashes. Whether it’s applying my trusty eyelash serum at night (my current go-to is the Glow For It Lash Growth Serum) or curling my lashes before applying mascara, I’m all for it.

Finding the right eyelash curler for your eye shape and lashes can be confusing. Trust me, I’ve tried my fair share. But once you find the right one, you’ll question why it took you so long to add this step to your routine. A good eyelash curler has the power to lift your lashes and create the ultimate curl before applying mascara.

My eyelashes are quite straight and short and while I can always see a noticeable difference with mascara, using an eyelash curler beforehand gives them a curl like nothing else. For that reason, my makeup bag is never without one.

How we test

Eyelash curlers are not a one-size-fits-all tool and there are countless options on the market. Whether you’re looking for a subtle curl or something more dramatic, there’s a lot to consider. The type of eyelash curler you choose matters too, standard curlers or heated ones (which can take a few tries to master) offer different results. Additionally, your eye shape plays a significant role in determining which eyelash curlers will work best for you.

If aesthetics are important to you, we’ve got you covered too, from sleek all-black designs to rose gold options. To ensure testing was as accurate as possible, I used Benefit’s Fan Fest Fanning Volumising Mascara when testing how each eyelash curler curl held up with mascara. Each eyelash curler is also rated on whether they include refill pads or not. IMO, all lash curlers should include a spare set because once that rubber wears off, the tool is pretty useless.

Having tested over 20 eyelash curlers, these are the 12 very best to keep on your radar...

The best eyelash curlers 2025

EyeLash Curler

If you search for eyelash curler recommendations on TikTok, one brand is guaranteed to come out on top: Shiseido’s eyelash curler.

It’s always sold out online and in-store and for good reason. No matter your eye shape, this sleek and cult-favourite curler ensures every single lash is curled without any pinching.

I’ve been using this eyelash curler for the past few months and from the very first use to now, it’s always super comfortable and easy to use. The rubber pad is gentle on my lashes with zero pulling or pinching (we’ve all been there 👀).

The curl it creates before mascara is nothing short of magic. And with mascara? The curl not only holds but also makes my lashes look more defined and lengthened.

Eyelash Curler

SUQQU’s eyelash curler features a uniquely curved shape and an ergonomic design, making it one of the most comfortable lash curlers to hold. At £20, it’s on par with many other high-end options on the market but stands out as a firm favourite of mine due to its ease of use.

This is one of the easiest and most comfortable eyelash curlers I’ve ever tried and even I can admit, that’s saying a lot. If you’re looking for precision and the ability to get up close and personal with your lashes, this is the curler for you. Plus, it comes with two rubber pad refills. Winning.

Eyelash Curler

I didn’t think an eyelash curler could feel truly luxurious until I got my hands on the Dior eyelash curler. With its all-black design and soft ergonomic handles, it simply oozes luxury. Dior even describes this curler as the secret weapon for achieving that backstage beauty look and it’s easy to see why.

The ergonomic handles provide a subtle spring action, making it effortless to curl your lashes with barely any pressure. The long-lasting curl looks incredible both with and without mascara (a rarity I didn’t think was possible).

That said, I couldn’t give it top marks due to the lack of extra rubber pads. Dior, if you’re reading, adding refills would take this curler to the next level. 🙏🏾

Heated Eyelash Curler

The thought of using a heated eyelash curler never appealed to me, I’ve always had an irrational fear of burning off all my eyelashes. However, my experience with Lashify’s heated eyelash curler has made me wish I’d tried it sooner.

This curler features three adjustable temperature levels, silicone bristles and an arched comb. Simply turn it on, let it heat up for 15 seconds and it’s ready to go. The defined curl it creates is truly long-lasting. Thanks to the arched comb, even the trickiest lashes are easy to reach. Applying mascara afterwards glides on effortlessly and holds the curl.

If you’re worried about whether a heated eyelash curler makes your lashes hot, I can confirm it doesn’t. This curler is USB rechargeable and even comes with a USB cable for added convenience.

Whether you’re using it on your natural lashes or Lashify Gossamer lashes, you can expect the same great results.

Eyelash Curler

Don’t be fooled by the standard silver design of this eyelash curler, it’s anything but ordinary. I was pleasantly surprised by how effortlessly it curled every lash, delivering an instant curl without the need for repeated squeezing. This curler gave my lashes the most natural-looking curl and has quickly become a staple in my makeup bag.

Life-Changing Lashes Eyelash Curler

Firstly, the unique and stylish rose gold design makes this eyelash curler a must-have for if you're partial to a beauty shelfie. Described by the brand as the "push-up bra for your eyelashes" and I couldn’t agree more. With just one use, this curler creates the look of wide-eyed lashes, especially when paired with mascara.

Not only does it curl lashes beautifully, but it also delivers a fanned-out, volumising effect. If, like me, mascara alone doesn’t do enough for your short lashes, try using this lash curler beforehand for an instant transformation.

Signature Eyelash Curler

Everyone knows Revitalash for its iconic eyelash serum, but one product that deserves more recognition is the brand’s Signature Eyelash Curler. If you’re looking for a comfortable curler that eliminates the worry of discomfort or losing lashes, this one is worth adding to your list.

That said, points are deducted for not including refill pads. However, the brand notes that this curler is compatible with any “universal” eyelash curler refill pad, which should make replacements easy to find.

Eyelash Curler

This eyelash curler is designed to follow the natural contours of the face, making it effortless to curl all your lashes from the inner to outer corners. It’s gentle to use, with no pulling or pinching, whether you’re working with natural lashes or synthetic ones.

As one of the most affordable options on the market, this lash curler is a treasure I’d be more than happy to receive or gift to loved ones. Plus, it comes with two refill pads which honestly should be the standard for all eyelash curlers. Brands take note.

Hot Lash Heated Eyelash Curler

This is another heated eyelash curler to add to the list. Its unique design requires 2x AAA batteries. Once turned on, the red heated pad slowly changes from red to white to indicate that it’s warmed up and ready to use.

Within 10 seconds, I noticed a natural-looking curl to my lashes, which was exactly what I was after. However, due to the shape of the device, it was tricky to fit all my lashes in at once. It also took a few tries to get comfortable with, but once I figured it out, it performed exactly as I’d hoped.

That said, I think this is an innovative heated eyelash curler and one of the most affordable options currently on the market. So, if you’re looking to try a heated eyelash curler that won’t break the bank, Stylpro is a great choice.

Artist Eyelash Curler

This is another eyelash curler I’d be proud to use in public, thanks to its unique gunmetal brown shade (a colour I haven’t seen on any other eyelash curler). The double-handled grip is a design I always appreciate, as it almost always guarantees a comfortable experience.

Thankfully, this one didn’t disappoint. The handle required minimal effort to achieve precise and easy curling. After use, it revealed a natural curl that served as the perfect base for mascara.

ProCurl Lash Curler

Tweezerman is the OG when it comes to creating sought-after tweezers and eyelash curlers, and the ProCurl Lash Curler is a perfect example of why. Designed with a 60° angle (unique), it’s particularly suited for round-shaped eyes (hi, that’s me!).

The thoughtful design allowed me to comfortably curl all of my eyelashes at once. Whilst most eyelash curlers work well for me, it was a refreshing change to use one specifically tailored to my eye shape. The best part? It comes with three refill pads. 😍
