After a week of teasing us on Instagram, Fenty Beauty has finally launched its first-ever mascara — and boy is it ever worth the hype.
“Finally blessing y’all with a mascara! Get eye-opening full-on, fanned-out lashes with #FULLFRONTALMASCARA,” Rihanna captioned her latest selfie.
The new Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl Mascara ($32) is designed to coat every lash to deliver eye-opening definition. The do-it-all mascara is lightweight, waterproof and it is paired with an exclusive flat-to-fat brush that allows you to have control: The fat side holds max product to quickly load and lift for ultimate volume while the flat side defines and separates for length.

While these claims seem no different than other mascaras on the market, I’m here to tell you it is my new holy grail. Here’s why.
This product lives up to its name and the brand’s impeccable reputation. Its innovative brush magically gives my naturally limp and short lashes a subtle Bambi-like effect in just two coats. For maximum volume, I love starting with the fat side to lightly layer on the ultra-black formula before building length and separating individual lashes with the flat side. Meanwhile, its round pointed tip lets you load up and reveal tiny lashes at the inner and outer corners of your eyes.

Aside from its unique application process, I found myself really liking the formula’s rich and creamy consistency. I don’t find Full Frontal to be wet or runny, unlike other mascaras I’ve used in the past. It is incredibly lightweight for an easy and quick application, and I never have to worry about my lashes stamping black streaks on my lids.
While Rihanna’s Navy has yet to shut up about her not releasing new music, I’m sitting here unbothered, waiting for more 2020 beauty launches. Rihanna knows what she’s doing, so leave her alone!
Fenty Beauty also released Flypencil Longwear Pencil Eyeliner ($29), a creamy, long-wear, water-resistant pencil eyeliner available in matte, shimmer, metallic, and glitter shades.
