A first look at Belgravia's free flower festival
Belgravia in Bloom, London's free flower festival in collaboration with Horatio's Garden, features a series of eye-catching displays from renowned florists including Neill Strain, Moyses Stevens , and Judith Blacklock.
The neighbourhood's annual flower festival is now officially open, running until 27th May. This year's theme, Floral Fun & Games, celebrates nostalgic British games and classic sports.
Celebrating its ninth year, the floral festival coincides with RHS Chelsea Flower Show. On Motcomb Street, award-winning florist Neill Strain has recreated a giant 'Snakes & Ladders' board, complete with a giant snake. Meanwhile, florist Moyses Stevens has created a 2m tall Rubix Cube installation, combining colour and structural design to make an impact.
Local shops and restaurants will also get into the festival spirit, coming together to host floral-themed events and transform their food and drink menus in line with this year's theme.
'We are so excited to bring delight and play to visitors with this year's displays,' says Jane MacDiarmid at Grosvenor. 'What's more, Belgravia's boutiques and restaurants will be filled with floral-themed promotions and events, providing a fantastic opportunity for the neighbourhood to come together in celebration.'
And, of course, the floral displays are the main event. Here are some of the awe-inspiring installations you'll see at Belgravia in Bloom 2024.
