A First Look At Blackpink’s Lisa In ‘The White Lotus’ Season Three
The wait for the third season of The White Lotus is almost over, and to whet our appetites HBO has released another teaser of the upcoming series, which shows Blackpink star Lisa making her acting debut.
In the preview of the upcoming series, viewers were teased with a return to both new and familiar — with glimpses at stars Walton Goggins, Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Blackpink’s Lisa and veteran Natasha Rothwell, who reprises her Emmy-nominated role as Belinda from season one.

Per Variety, specific details about the character Lisa is set to portray are being withheld from the public at this time, but it is believed that she will be credited under her given name, Lalisa Manobal.
Being a world-famous pop star hasn't inoculated Lisa from feeling the pressures of making her small-screen debut in the upcoming third season.
Speaking to ELLE US, the K-pop star has admitted that she cried when she heard that she'd got a part in the next series of the hit HBO show. 'Oh my God, Mike White? I think he’s a genius,' Lisa said about the show’s creator tapping her for her acting debut. 'I think I cried. I was with my friends, my mum’s friends, and my mum as well, but I didn’t tell them that I auditioned for it. I’m super excited and nervous, because it’s my first acting project. So I was happy for a second, and then I was like, "Oh, wait, wait, how am I going to deliver this?"'
Filmed in Bangkok and on the islands of Phuket and Koh Samui, the Thai star also confessed that the project was a welcome chance for her 'to be back home, to have Thai food every day,' and to have her mother close-by on set.
The inaugural season of The White Lotus debuted in July 2021, followed by the second season in October 2022. Fans were initially anticipating a 2024 release for season three, but the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike has pushed the premiere to 2025.
