It seems each new day brings a different celebrity trying out the see-through trend, from Emily Ratajkowski to Sarah Michelle Gellar. But it's without question that Florence Pugh is the unofficial poster girl for the sheer trend repeatedly stepping out in transparent looks including that hot pink Valentino dress and more recently, a see-through sequin skirt for Valentino's Paris Fashion Week show.

In her latest sheer look, Florence was spotted around New York wearing a star-print dress paired with an oversized, black leather jacket and chunky biker boots. While some of Flo's other see-through looks have been a little more risqué and best saved for a red carpet event, this fit proved the trend can work just as well for the day as it does at night. The dress in question is the white tulle 'May' dress covered in black velvet stars from Batsheva.

If you're tempted to give the sheer trend a try yourself, take styling tips from the actress. Opting for a printed dress - rather than a completely see-through style - helps to keep the outfit casual. Similarly, wearing large black knickers underneath the dress rather than a thong (like for her Paris Fashion Week ensemble) lends a very day-time feel.

By pairing the transparent number with an oversized jacket, like Flo's Altuzarra biker, also balances out the revealing dress. Her Valentino Garavani bag completes the look and further emphasises the casual, day feel by matching the colour and chunkiness of her other accessories.

With more and more celebrities getting in on the trend, and Flo proving just how easy it is to wear, now may be the perfect time to try a see-through dress yourself. We're seriously tempted...
