Gap Inc.’s Richard Dickson to Be Honored by the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation
Richard Dickson, president and chief executive officer of Gap Inc., will receive the Elizabeth Taylor Commitment to End AIDS Award at the fifth annual Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS on Sept. 26 at The Beverly Hills Hotel.
It’s an evening presented by the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and supported by presenting sponsor Gilead Sciences.

Dickson has long supported people affected by HIV and AIDS, especially through his work with the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation. He formerly served on the board of directors for the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, and currently serves on the board of advisers for the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
Model, actress and author Dominique Jackson will serve as the master of ceremonies for the event which will include a dinner, a live auction in partnership with Christie’s, and an exclusive look at items from the Elizabeth Taylor Archive, including highlights from the legendary actress’ personal life, film career and philanthropy.
Catherine Brown, executive director of the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, cited Dickson’s “unwavering and admirable dedication over the years to helping people affected by HIV and AIDS. It’s his purpose-driven leadership across business, brands and philanthropy that makes all the difference,” said Brown.
Elizabeth Taylor established her foundation in 1991 to carry out her vision for an AIDS-free world. Gilead Sciences is a biopharmaceutical company advancing medicines to prevent and treat life-threatening diseases, including HIV, viral hepatitis, COVID-19, and cancer.
