A Georgia man who has been given only months to live just fulfilled his "bucket list" wish of marrying his love.

In a heartbreaking message on his GoFundMe page, Jordan Barrett shared that he was diagnosed with stage 3 stomach cancer in 2023 and after briefly going into remission, his disease has returned and is "even more aggressive than before." He wrote that his medical team has now moved him into palliative care and told him that he has "four months until cancer wins."

Faced with that difficult reality, Barrett said he has been reflecting on how he can make the most of the time he has left and the meaningful things he'd like to experience before his health declines. "Things like marrying my beautiful fiancée Mikayla & taking one last large family trip!" he wrote in his message.

"I want to be able to have a wedding celebration, go on a honeymoon, take a family trip and so many other things to cross off my bucket list," he continued, requesting prayers and donations to help fund his final plans and adventures.

On Saturday, April 20, Barrett checked one special item off his bucket list: tying the knot with Mikayla. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, the couple exchanged vows at The Ivy on the Plains in White Plains, surrounded by their loved ones.

"I appreciate everyone and am beyond grateful to have the amazing support system through this," Barrett concluded his message on the site. "I know where I am going after this time is over & I have accepted it — I just want to spend my remaining time celebrating and being with those I love!"
