From Good Housekeeping

Improving artificial trees has been Puleo International's goal since its launch in 1954 (they hold the trademark for "The Oldest Family Name In Christmas Trees In America"). The two models we tested make the tree-trimming experience hassle-free.

Puleo International 7-Foot Aspen Fir

Puleo International 9-Foot Slim Fraser Fir

What We Like:

  • AMAZINGLY EASY TO ASSEMBLE Each tree comes in four segments and took just five minutes(!) to put together. The bottom segment has a stand already attached, giving you one less thing to worry about.

  • NO STRANDS OF LIGHTS TO MANAGE These are pre-lit with a nice amount of lights, which stayed on even when a few were unscrewed.

  • FLAME RETARDANT During safety tests, when held to an open flame, branches melted but did not ignite.

  • REALISTIC LOOK Features like a wider base, more space between the branches, and branches made of molded plastic in the shape of leaves with graduated shading, give the Aspen Fir a more natural appearance

  • GREAT FOR SMALL SPACES With a slender but dense profile, the Slim Fraser makes a nice impact without taking up tons of floor space.
